March 25 ~ the Passion of the Lord

+ May the suffering and death of Jesus Christ strengthen the Church in steadfast holiness and give her new growth.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ Bless our catechumens and candidates.  May these final days of preparation be an occasion of transforming grace for them.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ We ask you, Lord, to give us the peace and stability to live and work with each other, not in fear and anxiety, but rather with dignity and joy.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ As you created us in your image, help us to be like Jesus, with lives drenched in faithfulness to you, even to the end.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ May St. Anne parishioners and Christians everywhere live this Holy Week with special reverence, self-giving and devotion.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ That our Lenten discipline will continue to transfigure the way we live so as to bring forth ever deeper conformity to Christ.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including John Clarke, brother-in-law of Paul Harris; Matthew Gardner; John Briggs; and John Blasi, father of Jeanne Riley.  We pray especially for the healing of our Pastoral Coordinator Ron Ryan.  We also pray for those who have died, including Bunphea Heng, father of Julie Shaw. Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, glorious Redeemer, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
