March 19 ~ Third Sunday of Lent

+ For those preparing to enter the Church at Easter who today receive the First Scrutiny:  that they will find in the Creed of the Church sustenance to live a holy life.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ For the world:  may we all work against injustice and seek to make the human journey on earth more joyful for others.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ May those who suffer from mental illness be lifted up through the power of Christ.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ We thank you for your life-giving waters of grace and love poured out on us all.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ Like the Samaritan woman at the well, may we be open to you so that we can hear your voice calling to us to share the Good News.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ For the grace to renew and deepen our efforts at genuine repentance.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; James Arthur; Frances Covey; Alice Rosenthal; and Margaret Angelos.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Deacon Eamon Parsons and Dorothy Raschko.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, giver of the water of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
