March 18 ~ Fifth Sunday in Lent

That the Church will spread the spirit of love and gather all peoples to unify the nations in peace.  Lord of unity, we pray.

For those preparing to be received into the Church this Easter: that their embrace of the Lord's prayer will keep them close to Christ.  Lord of unity, we pray.

For your love which you have written upon our hearts: may we always act in harmony with that love.  Lord of unity, we pray.

Like Jesus, may we empty ourselves to be filled with your love so that we can go out and serve your people.  Lord of unity, we pray.

This Lenten season may we especially treasure the unity and support of this community.  Help us be an integral part of that unity and support for others.  Lord of unity, we pray.

For the grace this week to be ambassadors of Christ to the world.  Lord of unity, we pray.

For all those who are sick including Cheryl Potakos [poe-tack-ose;] John Clarke, brother-in-law of Paul Harris; Matthew Gardner; and John Briggs.  We pray especially for the healing of our Pastoral Coordinator Ron Ryan.  We also pray for those who have died, including Bunphea [bun-fay] Heng, father of Julie Shaw.  Lord of unity, we pray.

In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of unity, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
