March 17 ~ 2nd Sunday in Lent

+ For the whole world: that the Church will lead us so that now truly becomes the acceptable time of grace, salvation and peace.  Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ We continue to pray for our Church as its leaders work to address the sexual abuse crisis.  Move their hearts with a passion to help heal the Church of this corruption now.  Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ For the forty-nine people killed in the mosque shootings in New Zealand; for those wounded and for all their loved ones.  Give us the grace to transfigure the hatred and violence in our world into compassion and justice. Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ May those who are downhearted or burdened with difficulties experience your transfiguring power.  Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ Help us to be like Abraham in today's reading.  He trusted you, even in the face of what seemed impossible.  Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ For the grace to keep our eyes on you and truly live as citizens of heaven.  Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; and George Reich.  We also pray for those who have died, including Alex Braulio, nephew of Chari Kinney; and Vincent Slatt, father of Mary Davis.   Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, who guides us, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
