March 12 ~ Second Sunday of Lent

+ May the Church stand before the world without stain or blemish, holy and obedient to your word.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

+ That persecuted Christians everywhere may be supported by the prayers and material help of the whole Church.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

+ May we be like Abraham in today's reading, and go, and do as you direct us, knowing that you will supply the strength that we need.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

+ Be present in our St. Anne study of "who is our neighbor" beginning this week.  Speak to our hearts as we discern how we can be your hands, your heart and your love in the world.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

+ For the grace to see the presence of Jesus in all the circumstances and situations of life.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; James Arthur; Frances Covey; and Alice Rosenthal.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Deacon Eamon Parsons and Dorothy Raschko.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit of justice, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
