March 11 ~ Fourth Sunday in Lent
Saturday | March 10, 2018 | 16:00 PM
+ For those preparing to enter the Church at Easter who will receive the Second Scrutiny this weekend: that you will free these elect from the false values that can blind us. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ In faith, we raise our voices in prayer for peace and healing among peoples and nations. Help us to give voice to those not able to make their cries of pain and oppression heard. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ May those who hold public office imitate you and secure justice and the rights of all the oppressed. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ With deepest gratitude for your gift of grace of your love poured out on us - not because we have earned it but because you freely give it. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ Help us to live as children of your light, taking this light out into the world to serve others. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ For the grace to return to you in true contrition and confession of our sins. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ For all those who are sick including John Briggs; Bun Heng, father of Julie Shaw; and Matthew Gardner nephew of Sue and Tyler Cartier. We pray especially for the healing of our Pastoral Coordinator Ron Ryan. We also pray for those who have died. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving. We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts. Holy Spirit, our light and salvation, we pray.
The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures. If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited: No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community. For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
