March 10 ~ 1st Sunday of Lent

+ This Lent may the Church proclaim the Gospel message of your love to those who live in material, moral and spiritual destitution.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ For peace in the world, and for the protection of all those who risk their lives to defend the peace.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ Oh, God, we know you are present with us, accompanying us and protecting us along the way.  Set us free from all that binds us and help us to live in a spirit of gratitude.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ Father, we are painfully aware of all the ways we are tempted.  Help us to be more like Jesus and to hold fast to love, instead.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ Protect and bless Steve Albright and Paula Cipolla  along with their medical-dental team who are leaving for Guatemala this week.  Be with the team and also bless the people they will be helping and serving.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ For those affected by the tornadoes in Alabama: for those who died, those injured, those who lost loved ones and property.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; Kathi Ellsworth, and George Reich.  We also pray for those who have died, including Alex Braulio, nephew of Chari Kinney; and Barbara Buccola Speciale, grandmother of the Pelletier and Kielholz families.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

+ In gratitude for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, our teacher of love, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
