June 30 ~ 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May we in your Church make the radical commitment of love to follow Jesus every day.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ We pray for our nation as we celebrate Independence Day this week.  Bless our country and keep us always thankful for the gift of freedom.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ Lord of mercy, we pray especially today for all the immigrant children who are being held at our borders.  Be with them and help us to find ways to be of assistance.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ Open our hearts so that we, too, like Elisha in today's reading, will hear you calling to us.  Give us the courage to answer.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ For the members of our community and our families who are gay, lesbian and transgender; may they know God’s love, and always find that love reflected in words and actions of those around them.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ We thank you for the gifts, talents and skills of Ron Ryan and Fr. Tony with which you have blessed us, and for the experiences which have brought us to this place through their leadership.  We stand in gratitude for their presence with us which has filled our hearts with joy and enriched us beyond measure.  Go with them always.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ For those who are sick, including Molly Malloy, Alan Rosenthal, Gordon Rosenthal, Margaret Rican, Sharon Cercone, Frank Siderius, Naomi Zamberlin, and Bev Peterson.  We also pray for those who have died.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Spirit of Love who guides us, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
