June 28 ~ Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ In this year dedicated to consecrated life, may religious men and women rediscover the joy of following Christ and strive to serve the poor with zeal.  Lord of compassion, we pray.

+ For the more than 1000 people who have died due to the heat wave in Pakistan, for their families, and for those trying to survive the extreme heat, the lack of electricity and no access to water.  Lord of compassion, we pray.

+ For the nine parishioners who were murdered in the South Carolina church shooting, for all who love them and for all of us:  may we be united by love rather than divided by race.  Lord of compassion, we pray.

+ We are a part of you-- made in your image, your beloved.  Help us to live our lives knowing we are deeply loved.  Lord of compassion, we pray.

+ For the grace to put aside all our fears and to live by faith.  Lord of compassion, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Sister Virginia Pearson, Marianne Jurich, and Leala Moore, mother of Rebecca Weber; and for those who have died, including Mary Magnano,  Helen Knutzen, and Edmund Rosenthal, uncle of Allan Rosenthal.   Lord of compassion, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of compassion, we pray.
