June 24 ~ The Nativity of John the Baptist

+ John the Baptist experienced the graces of Christ while still in his mother's womb; may the People of God live their baptismal promises with renewed fervor and joy.  Father of joy and love, we pray.

+ John the Baptist fearlessly proclaimed the truth, even though it led to his imprisonment and death.  May all Christians bear witness to the truth of the Gospel with John's courage.  Father of joy and love, we pray.

+ Through the power of your Spirit, protect the children separated from their parents at the border.  Remind us to love others as ourselves and to protect the most vulnerable in our world.  Father of joy and love, we pray.

+ Help us to not be afraid, but to be bold in your service.  May we become instruments of your love in the world.  Father of joy and love, we pray.

+ For the grace to live totally committed to Jesus Christ as did John the Baptist.  Father of joy and love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Adriana Stewart, Steve Nordeck, brother of Vicki Panko; Jill Ragsdale; Chari Kinney; Frances Covey, and Cheryl Potakos.  We also pray for those who have died, including Pamela Cameron, Marianne Jurich, and Mary Krininger.  Father of joy and love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father of joy and love, we pray.
