June 19 ~ Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ That Pope Francis, Archbishop Sartain, the clergy, and all those set apart to preach, teach, or minister in the Church may witness to Jesus Christ fearlessly and without compromise.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ That those who govern nations will protect human rights, further the work of justice, and advance the freedom of those in their charge.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ We pray for the victims of the violence in Orlando and for their families and friends who were devastated by the tragedy.  We also pray for an end to violence against your LGBT children.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ Help us, of Lord, we beseech you, not to fall back into our habits of categorizing and judging others, when we know we are all one in you and clothed in your love.  Free us to simply love one another.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ We give thanks to you and ask your blessing on the loving service given by our middle school students and for their reflections in the notebook by our Works of Mercy poster.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ For blessings on all fathers and godfathers this Father's Day.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Joan Lord, Mary Shelly, Mike Finn; Terry Casey; and Judy Casey.  We also pray for those who have died, especially Charlene Collora.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, refuge of all, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
