June 18 ~ The Body and Blood of Christ

+ For the Church, the Body of Christ: that we will deepen our devotion to the Eucharistic sacrifice which gives life to the world.  Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ For our world: that the inclusiveness of your love for all people will broaden horizons and melt away divisiveness, including in our own hearts.   Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ May we ever remember that our participation in the body and blood of Christ can transform our community into becoming itself the very Body of Christ which we have shared.  Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ May this transformation move us out into the world to love, minister to, and help all your people.  In this light, we ask for your special blessings on all those in our parish who are part of Martha's Workers and our other ministries who bring food to the hungry.  Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ For a blessing on all fathers on this Father's Day.  Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ For those who died, those injured, and those who lost loved ones in the apartment fire in London; and for those affected by the shootings in Washington, DC: grant healing and peace to them, and to all people suffering loss and grief. Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; Joyce Powers; and Margaret Angelos.  Also, we pray for those who have died, including Terry Casey, Father Ward Oakshott, and Richard Kramer, father of Paul Kramer.  Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

+ In gratitude for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, who gives life forever, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
