July 9 ~ Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ That the Church will be a place of mercy freely given where everyone can feel loved, forgiven and encouraged to live the life of the Gospel.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ In a world torn by strife, may your people shine forth as a prophetic sign of sanity and harmony.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ Out of concern for our nation, we pray that your love and compassion will bring peace, integrity and growing harmony to our land.  Help us to be messengers of this goodness in our own lives.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ May we ever remember that your spirit - your very presence - breathes within us.  May this knowledge move us to forsake hate and to love one another.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ Help us at St. Anne to be a place of openness, welcome and respite for those who are heavily burdened.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For the grace to live by the Spirit of God in every way.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; Joyce Powers; Brooklyn Rodgers, and Margaret Angelos.  Also, we pray for those who have died, including Betty Negro, Richard Kramer, and Phil McCluskey.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
