July 29 ~ Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church stand as a living witness to truth, freedom, peace and justice.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ Help us to live our lives, not in scarcity of spirit, but rather in the joy of your abundance toward all.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ As we face difficult decisions or stressful problems, may you always give us the help and serenity we need.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ We ask that you use all that we are in the service of Christ, even though we may be unaware of it.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ Help us here at St. Anne to be a community of welcome where we are unified in a bond of peace - one body, one baptism and one spirit.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ For the grace to live with all humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with one another through love.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Chari Kinney; Frances Covey, and Ilse Wefers.  We also pray for all those who have died, especially Jill Ragsdale and Archbishop Raymond Hunthausen.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, our hope, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
