July 28 ~ Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For our Church:  we ask the Holy Spirit to inspire our Bishops to confront the inhumane policies being enacted at our southern border.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

+ For our world:  that we as members of one human family, strive to recognize our common needs and goals, and cooperate to secure justice for all.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

+ For those who live in the prison of addiction or guilt, that they will walk through the door that is always open to your love -- and come home.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

+ As we collect school supplies and backpacks for the homeless students served by Mary's Place, bless our efforts to help and support these children to let them know they are loved.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

+ For the grace of humor and of humility, that in laughing at ourselves we may forgive ourselves -- and others -- as you forgive us.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Naomi Zamberlin, Alan Rosenthal, Frank Siderius, Bev Peterson, and Margaret Rican. We pray also for those who have died including Mary Anne Boyle and Deacon Bill Haines, brother of Kathleen Kramer.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God who deeply loves us, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
