July 24 ~ Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ For blessings on World Youth Day, taking place this week in Krakow, Poland.  God of enduring love, we pray.

+ That young people - and all of us - will entrust themselves to the joys of the Gospel and oppose the illusions of instant happiness or violence.  God of enduring love, we pray.

+ Especially in this Year of Mercy, may we remember that hospitality is a sacred value and that we are to treat all your children with hospitable warmth and abundant mercy.  God of enduring love, we pray.

+ Help us to deepen our life of prayer, to pray with persistence for what we need, and then to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit to illuminate our lives.  God of enduring love, we pray.

+ We pray for your blessings on this Body of Christ at St. Anne's as we celebrate St. Anne's Feast Day this coming Tuesday.  We pray that your Holy Spirit will continue to move within our community, perfecting our love, as we strive to take your love out into the world.  God of enduring love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Joan Lord; Mike Finn; and Chris Hurley.  We also pray for those who have died, especially Unity Cantwell, mother of Tina Cantwell Connors, and Hazel Jones, mother of Cedric Jones; and Bernie Conklin, uncle of Garin Conklin.  God of enduring love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God of enduring love, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
