July 22 ~ Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the shepherds of the Church proclaim Christ, admonishing and teaching with all wisdom.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ For the leaders of the world's countries:  may they not mislead or divide their citizens or cause injustice; but rather care for all their people, governing them wisely and doing what is right and true and just.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ For an end to terrorism in the world and for all people to be unified in peace.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ Oh, God, your love unites us.  Help us to share with each other the fruits of justice, rather than judgments.  Help us to let go and be loving, rather than clinging to our need to be right.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ As we celebrate the Feast of our patron, St. Anne, we thank you for your blessings on this parish community, including the blessing which is each and every person here.  We pray that your Hoy Spirit will continue to move within our community, perfecting our love.  May we strive to take your love out into the world.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ For the grace to live the peace preached by Jesus Christ.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Jill Ragsdale; Chari Kinney; Frances Covey, and Ilse Wefers. We also pray for all those who have died.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of spirit and light, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
