July 2 ~ Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ That you will strengthen the bond of unity between the faithful and the pastors of the Church.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ For all those who have suffered are suffering now or may suffer in the future from political oppression: protect them in your compassion.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ Grant that violence be overcome by the power of love, that opposition give way to reconciliation, and that the desire to oppress be transformed into the desire for forgiveness, justice and peace.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ May we strive to be a people through whom you work.  May we receive your word in openness and with eager welcome, and do even small acts of kindness and compassion in Jesus' name.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ We ask for your special blessings on the St. Anne's teens who are traveling to Burlington this week to live in community and be of service to the migrant families of the Skagit Valley.  May this experience transform their lives and the lives of those they meet and serve.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ For the grace to supply the needs of others from our abundance.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; Joyce Powers; Brooklyn Rodgers, and Margaret Angelos.  Also, we pray for those who have died, including Betty Negro, Brad Steele, and Richard Kramer, father of Paul Kramer.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, living in the newness of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
