July 19 ~ 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the shepherds of the Church proclaim Christ, admonishing and teaching with wisdom.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.

+ For the world:  half the population of Syria, more than 11½ million people, have fled or been displaced from their homes due to the ongoing conflict.  Words escape us about the hardships they face so we humbly ask that they be given a means to survive.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.

+ For those who risk their lives in order to protect the lives of others: that they will be strengthened, shielded and aided.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.

+ Whenever we stray, gather us up again with love and bring us back home to ourselves, the people you created us to be.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to break down walls that divide us from one another.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Mike Finn, and Leala Moore, mother of Rebecca Weber; and for those who have died, including Edward Bawyn, father of Father Tony; Helen Knutzen; and Henry Steuli, nephew of Monica Flora.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, Shepherd of us all, we pray.
