July 10 ~ Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church act as mediator in finding solutions to problems affecting peace, social harmony and civil rights.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ That you will help us be close to the poor, the sick, the dying, the lonely, the marginalized, the unemployed, the addicted and the homeless.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ May we understand in a very deep way that what you require of us is already a part of us - in our hearts and every breath we take.  Help us then to carry it out every day of our lives.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ For the victims of the shootings in Minnesota, in Baton Rouge, and in Dallas: for those who have died, for their families and loved ones, for our cities and our nation.  Give us wisdom to address the problems of racism, discrimination, violence and retaliation, so we may love our neighbor with true respect and dignity.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ We pray for your blessings on this Body of Christ at St. Anne's as we worship together in this different space.  Help us to see each other more clearly, to be more aware of the needs of our community, and to truly love one another.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ For the grace this week for us to help bear the burdens of our neighbors.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Joan Lord; Mike Finn; Terry Casey; and Judy Casey.  We also pray for those who have died, especially Unity Cantwell, mother of Tina Cantwell Connors, and Hazel Jones, mother of Cedric Jones.  Lord, King of Creation, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God our Father, Master of the Harvest, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
