January 24 ~ 3rd Sunday in Odinary Time

+ For the church, especially for Pope Francis, Archbishop Sartain, and our parish leaders: may they be blessed with grace in helping the people of God to be united in bringing the light of Christ into the world.  God in your mercy, we pray.

+ For the people of our world suffering under the yoke of oppression: may your Spirit empower us to proclaim good news, to work for peace, and to establish justice. God in your mercy, we pray.

+ For those held captive by social policies, public opinion, or the judgments of others: grant them release, and restore the sight of those who are blinded by prejudice.  God in your mercy, we pray.

+ For the young people of our parish: may the joy of the Lord be their strength as they learn to use their gifts in the service of others.  God in your mercy, we pray.

+ For the students, staff and families of our parish school as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week: may your Spirit always be upon them as they continue the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ by preparing our young people for their mission in the world. God in your mercy, we pray.

+ For the sick ; and for those who have died : God in your mercy, we pray.

+ In gratitude for the prayers written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving; for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions, as well as those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  God in your mercy, we pray.
