January 22 ~ Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church be ever more fervent in proclaiming the Kingdom of God.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ We ask your blessings on the new President of the United States.  May he care for the good of all in our country including those among us who are most vulnerable.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ Give us the courage to rely on you alone to sustain us.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ May we be like the fishermen Peter and Andrew in today's Gospel, and "lay aside our nets" and follow you.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ Help us all to never forget your total self-giving to us through Jesus.  In the same way, may we also lovingly be there for others.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ For the grace to live without divisions, and to be united in mind and purpose with others.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; and Alice Rosenthal.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Ray Siderius and Nellie Johnston.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, Guide and Advocate, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
