January 21 ~ Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church be ever more fervent in proclaiming your Kingdom.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ In the world today torn by strife, we pray that as your people, we may shine forth as a prophetic sign of unity and concord.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ Lord, we ask that you give us the strength to defend those who are marginalized, give aid to those in need, come to the defense of those who are poor or vulnerable, and welcome into our hearts all those in need.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ God of mercy, you have called us to learn from you and to follow your lead.  Help us to re-set our priorities, to take the duties of Catholic advocacy to heart, and to create with you a life of justice and peace for all.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ Loving God, cast your nets toward us and catch us, and we will follow you to the end.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ For the grace to be ever more ardent followers of Christ.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Paxton Alston, cousin of Amy Cunningham.  We also pray for those who have died, including, Alice Rosenthal, mother of Allan Rosenthal; and Jack D’Amico [da-MEE-co].    Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father, creator of the universe, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
