January 14 ~ 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May blessings on this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity see all Christians become one in faith, hope and charity.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ For our country as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, that we will see an end to all racism, bigotry and prejudice.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ Although we may come from different countries and different cultures, may we ever remember that we are all created by you and made in your image, and that we therefore all share in a sacred dignity that is deserving of respect.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ Lord, speak to us because we are listening - here we are.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ We - our bodies and our souls - are made to be in relationship with you.  May we always respond to your invitation to come and see.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ For the grace to live with a greater desire for Jesus Christ and to become one with him.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Paxton Alston, cousin of Amy Cunningham; Mary Ann Kramer, mother of Paul Kramer; and Alice Rosenthal, mother of Allan Rosenthal.  We also pray for those who have died, including Jack D’Amico.  Spirit of love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Spirit of love, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
