February 25 Second Sunday of Lent

That the Church will stand before the world without stain or blemish, holy and obedient to your word.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

For the whole world: may our days truly become the acceptable time of grace, salvation and peace.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

Like Abraham, how often you call us to go forth into the uncomfortable and unknown.  Help us to have faith in your promise to be with us, even though we do not understand how.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

As was Jesus, may we remember we, too, are your beloved.  May our lives be grounded in this sacred understanding.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

May this season of Lent, with your help, be a time of deeper conversion for each of us.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

For the grace to see the presence of Jesus in all circumstances and situations of life.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

For all those who are sick especially John Briggs, Bun Heng, father of Julie Shaw, and Ron Ryan.  Also we pray for those who have died including Katherine Sursely. Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, our light and our life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
