February 24 ~ 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ We pray for the Church, that your Holy Spirit will continue to move through it, cleansing it and healing it.  Lord of merciful love, we pray.

+ That all those who rule the world will embrace the Gospel of life and the splendor of the truth.  Lord of merciful love, we pray.

+ We continue to pray for the well-being of our nation during these challenging times.  Make us a part of your justice, peace and compassion which are lights in the darkness.  Lord of merciful love, we pray.

+ Since we are all made in your likeness, help us to truly realize we each have a purpose, spirit and sacredness that is to be respected.  May we therefore be merciful to one another.  Lord of merciful love, we pray.

+ Bless our contributions for the medical-dental team leaving for Guatemala in March.  Inspire us to be generous in giving to the people they will be serving and helping them with their needs.  Lord of merciful + love, we pray.

+ For Pope Francis and the bishops as they gather in Rome: may your Holy Spirit inspire them with solutions that will lead to reform and healing for our church.  Lord of merciful love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; Kathi Ellsworth, and George Reich.  We also pray for those who have died, including Joe Maughan; Edwina Ortega, daughter of Nicky McVeigh; Alex Braulio, nephew of Chari Kinney; and Barbara Buccola Speciale, grandmother of the Pelletier and Kielholz families.    Lord of merciful love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of merciful love, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
