February 21 ~ Second Sunday of Lent

+ That the Church will be a place of mercy freely given where all are encouraged to live the good life of the Gospel.  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ For the world: may all men and women who work against injustice and seek to make the human journey on earth more joyful, be blessed by you.  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ As did Abraham, we yearn for a sign of your love.  Help us to look at the billions of stars in the sky and know we can trust in you.  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ Be with this community as we listen for the whisper of the Holy Spirit in discerning who to call to serve our community in our Councils and Commissions. Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ We ask for your special blessings on all the ways our community is participating together to mark this holy Lenten season.  May we imitate you in every present moment  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to see your presence in all circumstances and situations of life.  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Charlene Collora; Mike Finn; Terry Casey; Levi Jennings; and Florence Pung.  We pray also for those who have died, including Gerda France, Vera Cornall and Jackie Overstreet.  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, merciful one, we pray.
