February 17 ~ 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church be blessed with wise and faithful leaders and hold fast to the truth.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ For the world: may we always remember those who are poor, hungry, weeping or mistreated, for they are the ones who are truly blessed in your eyes.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ That those engaged in business will serve society by providing goods and services that make peoples' lives better.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ Give us the courage to let go of our relentless grip on our own lives, knowing that our true security is in putting ourselves in your hands.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ Help us to stir into flame the talents you have uniquely given to each of us to serve one another.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ For the grace to reach out with compassion to those who are hurting.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; and Kathi Ellsworth.  We also pray for those who have died, including Joe Maughan; Edwina Ortega, daughter of Nicky McVeigh; Carol Vizzare; and Don Vizzare.  Lord, our life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, our life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
