February 10 ~ Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ Here we are, Lord!  Send us!  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ That the Church will preach and teach with authority, winning many to the Gospel and to Jesus.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ Though we are unworthy, work through us - even through our weaknesses - to love one another and serve you in the world.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ As our parish discerns new leadership for our councils and commissions, may we be open to your Holy Spirit's call to serve our community using the gifts we have been given.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ For the grace to overcome all fear and doubt, trusting more firmly in Jesus.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ As we observe the World Day of the Sick on Monday, may those who are sick, especially those chronically ill, know healing and strength.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; and Kathi Ellsworth.  We also pray for those who have died, including Edwina Ortega, daughter of Nicky McVeigh; Carol Vizzare; Don Vizzare; Louise LeGaz; Mary Mottle; and Frances Covey.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of salvation, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
