December 9 ~ 2nd Sunday of Advent

+For the renewal of the Church in holiness during this sacred season of Advent.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ For the world: in faith, we raise our voices in prayer for peace and healing among all peoples and nations.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ That Christ may guide the minds of those who govern so as to promote the common good according to your will.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ In this special season, bring our sagging and dispirited hearts to life with the knowledge that you are near.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ Help us to not miss finding you in the everyday events and people in our lives, even in our very selves.  Strengthen us as the community of St. Anne.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ For the grace to have hope and live lives that glorify you.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Christine Ball; Joseph Gentile; Mike Finn; Carol Vizzare; Sylvia Sanders; Barbara Lowney;  Chari Kinney; Angela Downs; and Chris Hurley.  We also pray for those who have died, including Gertrude Bolster. Father who loves us all, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father who loves us all, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
