December 6 ~ Second Sunday of Advent

+ For the Church: that we each may always be an abundant symbol of your hope, joy and peace in the world.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ For the victims of this week's violent shooting in San Bernardino and Savannah, and for their families.  Grant that violence be overcome by the power of love, opposition give way to reconciliation, and the desire to oppress be transformed into the desire for forgiveness, justice and peace.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ Bless all those who extend their helping hands to those in need of food, shelter and clothing, who share their time, talents and resources with others.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ May we ever remember that the well of divine mercy is always overflowing, and that we are to be merciful in all our dealings with one another.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ Help us to know - with confidence - that you have begun a good work in each of us that you will complete if we remain open to your voice.  Help us to do so.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to conduct ourselves in holiness and devotion.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Charlene Collora; Mike Finn; Michelle Betts, Mary Shelley, and Peter Maricich.  We pray also for those who have died, especially Leala Moore, mother of Rebecca Weber.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of hope and joy, we pray.
