December 30 ~ Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph

+ May the family of the Church be strengthened, purified and renewed through your grace.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ For those charged with protecting society: that they will build a world in which family life is revered, protected and promoted.  We pray especially for the safekeeping of the families gathered on our border with Mexico.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ Because you live in us, we are your children.  Help us to follow Jesus in all ways and to love one another.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ May we make our families a place of respite, peace and joy—a place where we are accepted just as we are, and where we are challenged to grow in wisdom, age and favor.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ We pray for all those who are without a family for whatever reason.  May we remember to include them in our joy and in our love.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ For blessings on all families: that the love, unity and self-giving of the Holy Family will overflow to all families and make them truly happy.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Joseph Gentile; Carol Vizzare; Sylvia Sanders; Barbara Lowney; Angela Downs; and Chris Hurley.  We also pray for those who have died, including Laine  Tyerman.   Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, eternal word of the Father, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
