December 3 ~ First Sunday of Advent

+ For the Church:  may this Advent be a faith-filled journey toward the horizon of hope.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ May we see in our time the end to warfare and may weapons be dismantled to become instruments of peace.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ Help us all to work for justice so that all may experience peace.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ May we never forget that we are the very work of your hands.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ Since our own individual and innate abilities come from you, help us to share them in service to this community and the world.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ For the grace to intensify our preparations for the coming of the Lord.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Veronica Maldonado; Bob VanMeter; and Mary Ann Kramer, mother of Paul Kramer.  We pray also for those who have died, including Janice Purnell, mother of Chuck Purnell; Richard Daly, father of Suzanne Rosenthal; Leona Neuburger, grandmother of Jim Neuberger; Nancy Hoffman, mother of Carolyn Carlesimo; and Katie Fleming, mother of Jannie Curtain.    Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, breath of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
