December 17 ~ Third sunday of Advent
Saturday | December 16, 2017 | 16:00 PM
+ May the Church be zealous in bringing good news to the poor, healing to the brokenhearted, and liberty to captives. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ For the world: that enemies may begin to dialogue, that adversaries may shake hands and peoples may encounter one another in harmony. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ May the justice, peace and mercy we long for permeate our world. May we express its light in our own lives, rooted in your love. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ We pray for all those affected by the California wildfires including the brave firefighters fighting to halt their spread. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ May we feel ever certain that you are always near -- in your Word, in the Eucharist, and in each other. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ For the grace to be free of anxiety and to be generous in showing kindness. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ For all those who are sick especially Paxton Alston, cousin of Amy Cunningham; Veronica Maldonado; and Mary Ann Kramer, mother of Paul Kramer. We pray also for those who have died, including Bob Cronin; Bill Fisher, father of Kaeli Fisher; Walter Stolle, father of Steve Stolle; and Walt Zabriskie, husband of Chris Pugel Zabriskie. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving. We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts. Jesus, who brings rejoicing in God's love, we pray.
The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures. If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited: No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community. For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
