December 16 ~ Third Sunday of Advent

May the church be zealous in bringing the good news to the poor, healing to the brokenhearted, and liberty to captives.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

For the world: that peoples everywhere may encounter one another in harmony.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

Under the protection of Christ, may our times be peaceful.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

May we remember that you are always near - in your Word, in the Eucharist and in each other.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

At the Christmas dinner for our homeless neighbors on Monday, we ask your blessings and joy on all the people we will host and serve.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

For the grace to be free of anxiety and to be generous in showing kindness.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

For all those who are sick, including Joseph Gentile; Carol Vizzare; Sylvia Sanders; Barbara Lowney;  Angela Downs; and Chris Hurley.  We also pray for those who have died. Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

In gratitude for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord, guardian of peace, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
