December 14 Third Sunday of Advent

December 14, Third Sunday of Advent

+ For the Church to be ever more zealous in bringing good news to the poor, healing to the brokenhearted, and liberty to captives.  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ For the world:  that enemies may begin to dialogue, that adversaries may shake hands, and peoples may encounter one another in harmony.  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ For all who have consecrated their lives to Christ:  by their unceasing prayer preserve your Church in holiness. Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ Bless all those who extend their helping hands to those in need of food, shelter and clothing, who share their time, talents and resources with others.  May we all be inspired to do likewise.  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ Like John the Baptist, may our lives testify to the Light, and may we always remember you are the joy of our souls.  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to be joyful, to be free of anxiety, and to be generous in showing kindness.  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Charlene Collora; Maria Cinquina; Father John Wilke and Jeff Sylvia, father of Shon Sylvia.   Also, we pray for those who have died including Carol Cooper, Father John Horan, and Joel DeRuyck, brother of Sara DeRuyck  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our new Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Christ, who is our joy, we pray.
