December 10 ~ Second Sunday of Advent

+ For the renewal of the Church in holiness during this sacred season of Advent.  Lord who comforts us, we pray.

+ As in today's reading, we yearn for you to lead us though this difficult period in our nation to a time where there is concern and justice for all our citizens.  Let it begin with us.  Lord who comforts us, we pray.

+ In this season, help us to once again immerse ourselves in the waters of repentance to realign our minds, our  hearts and our conduct with yours.  Lord who comforts us, we pray.

+ For our parish community:  as you have begun the good work of drawing us together in faith, may you continue to perfect our bond this Advent.  Lord who comforts us, we pray.

+ May we share our lives for the building of your kingdom.  Lord who comforts us, we pray.

+ For the grace to have hope and to live our lives that glorify you.  Lord who comforts us, we pray

+ For all those who are sick, especially Paxton Alston, nephew of Amy Cunningham; Veronica Maldonado; Bob VanMeter; and Mary Ann Kramer, mother of Paul Kramer.  We pray also for those who have died, including Bob Cronin; and Bill Fisher, father of Kaeli Fisher.    Lord who comforts us, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord who comforts us, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
