August 7 ~ Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May the Church, through its priests and all those who are preachers and teachers, speak to the hearts of all peoples of the world and let them know your love.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For the world, that you will watch over all peoples and inspire justice, peace and love to spread over all the earth.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ May we be like Abraham, who was willing to change his whole life because he trusted you.  Help us also to place our faith in you.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ Release us from fear so that we may steadfastly follow your will.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ We ask for your blessings and inspiration on the gathering of parents of infants and very young children who are meeting this weekend to discuss how to make possible your invitation to Sabbath rest.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For the grace to let justice, peace and love begin with each of us.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Joan Lord; Mike Finn; and Chris Hurley.  Also, we pray for those who have died.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit, giver of life, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
