August 5 ~ Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May fervent devotion to the Eucharist cause the Church to grow in numbers and holiness.  Father of holiness, we pray.

+ May people who are endangered by the fires, floods and other disasters here in the United States and elsewhere in the world be protected by you as they seek safety.  Father of holiness, we pray.

+ Lord, satisfy our hungry hearts.  Give us the bread of life that nourishes our souls.  Fill us with your love.  Father of holiness, we pray.

+ That the St. Anne community may advance in faith, hope and love.  Father of holiness, we pray.

+ We ask your continued blessings on our offerings - given in love - of school supplies and backpacks for our young homeless brothers and sisters in need.  Father of holiness, we pray.

+ For the grace to work for the nourishment that endures and provides each of us eternal life.  Father of holiness, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Chari Kinney; Frances Covey, and Ilse Wefers.  We also pray for all those who have died, especially Jill Ragsdale and Archbishop Raymond Hunthausen. Father of holiness, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Father of holiness, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
