August 25 ~ 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May we, your church, be found worthy to pass through the narrow gate.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ That all the world's sons and daughters will see the Glory of God and then your kingdom shall come and your will be done on earth.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ For those grieving a loss, whether from death or separation in space or time:  ease their sorrow.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ May we at St. Anne's remember that you came as one who serves.  Help us to always follow your example.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ In gratitude for all who gave school supplies and backpacks to the homeless children served by Mary's Place.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ For the grace to welcome your discipline, that we may walk through the narrow gate to your salvation.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick including Joan Johnson, Margaret Rican (Rick-en), Frank Siderius, Alan Rosenthal, Beverly Peterson, and Naomi Zamberlin.  We pray also for those who have died including Gerri Killion, husband of Judy Killion; Bruce Edwards, son of Betty Edwards; Karen Cook, mother of Regan Hurley; Bob Maxwell; and Lois Tossman, mother of Kim Tossman-Matt.    Jesus, our brother, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, our brother, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
