August 2 ~ Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ May fervent devotion to the Eucharist cause the Church to grow in numbers and in holiness.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.

+ May Congress have the political will to deal with the violence in our country; and may our police and judicial system treat people fairly without regard to race.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.

+ Help us remember that you are our true food for the fullness of life.  Give us this bread always.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.

+ May those bearing burdens find you to build up their inner strength and assist them in their need.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to be free of all complaining and rather thank you for all our blessings.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Terry Casey.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Barry Tobin, and Esther Walsh, mother of Mary Ellen Kennedy.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, the bread which gives life to the world, we pray.
