August 16 ~ 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time

+ In this year dedicated to consecrated life, may religious men and women rediscover the joy of following You and strive to serve the poor with zeal.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+For the world:  may those suffering due to typhoons, hurricanes, extreme heat, drought, wildfires and heavy rains, find the resources they need to survive our changing climate.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+ May senior citizens call upon You to help them in their needs and be always close to You.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+ May Your words propel us to loving action in the world.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+ May we always remember that Jesus - who was human - is Your word made flesh, and that You continue to reveal yourself to us through him and through the breaking of the bread.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+ For the grace this week to recall our blessings and be prayerful and fervent in giving thanks.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, especially Mike Finn, and Terry Casey.  Also, we pray for those who have died, including Barry Tobin, and Esther Walsh, mother of Mary Ellen Kennedy.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, who gives life to the world, we pray.
