April 7 ~ 5th Sunday of Lent

+ For those preparing to be received into the Church this Easter: that they will remain faithful to Christ all the days of their lives.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

+ For those experiencing hardship from violence in their societies and in their despair are seeking to flee.  May they find welcoming arms and be shown mercy.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

+ For doctors and their humanitarian collaborators in war zones who risk their lives to save the lives of others.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray

+ May we reach out and seek you in all the unlikely places where you dwell such as in an unfamiliar face, an idle moment, an ordinary conversation.  Help us to notice you there.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

+ We ask your blessings on all our acts of love flowing out of our participation in the Lenten Service Tree and other acts of service.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

+ For the grace to be ambassadors of Christ to the world.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick, including Virginia Massett, sister of Karen Brookman; Carolanne Sinclair; Angela Downs; Chris Hurley; George Reich, and Molly Malloy.  We also pray for those who have died, including Vlad Buchheit, of O’Dea High School Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord who is justice and love, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
