April 23 ~ Second Sunday of Easter

+ May the Church rededicate herself to living and proclaiming Christ's mercy.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ For those living in confusion, ignorance or doubt; may they be filled with the truth and the light of the Risen Christ.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ Like the Apostles of old, may we, too, encourage and support one another by devoting ourselves to your Word, to our communal life and the breaking of the bread, and to prayer.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ We are so often like Thomas in today's reading, needing to see the concrete evidence of divine mystery.  Help us to be aware of your mystery so as to continue to grow in our own lives.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ Help our community of St. Anne be a fitting and revelatory sign of the presence of Christ in the world.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ For the grace to face the trials and difficulties of life with the confidence and certainty that comes from the Resurrection.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Rosemary Siderius.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Jim McNamee and George Rose.   Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of mercy and peace, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
206-281-5920.
