April 21 ~ Easter Sunday

+ In thanksgiving and gratitude, we ask your blessings on all those present here today.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

+ May the people of the lands where Jesus once walked discover a path forward where all see what is common in their humanity so that all may experience peace.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

+ That the newly baptized and confirmed will find in the Church the meaning and happiness for which their hearts long.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

+ We mourn the burning of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, a symbol of our faith for centuries.  For the people of Paris and the French nation, help the community come together to restore and rebuild this sacred and magnificent place of worship.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

+ In this sacred season, may the song of the Resurrection find its place in our hearts.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

+ As Mary Magdalene and the other women were called to do in today's Gospel, help us to open ourselves to the new life that awaits us today in you.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

+ We pray for all those who are sick and who have died, and for the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Holy Spirit of gladness and joy, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
