April 2 - Fifth Sunday ofLent

+ For those preparing to be received into the Church this Easter: that their embrace of the Lord's Prayer will keep them close to Christ.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ Help us to ever remember that your powerful life-giving presence in the world is always at work, bringing about your divine purposes.  May we be a part of your work on earth.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ May we also remember that your Son Jesus in his humanity was the fullness of life, the fullness which you share with all humankind including with us on this very day.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ That our parish will grow in holiness so that we will always love one another with perfect charity.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ As we focus more intently on Lenten almsgiving, may we remember with love and generosity all those around the world - your beloveds  - who are hungry and who need our help.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ For the grace to realize the mercy and love that Jesus has for us as he had for Lazarus in raising him from the dead.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; James Arthur; Frances Covey; Alice Rosenthal; Sister Joyce Cox; and Margaret Angelos.  Also, we pray for those who have died.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of kindness and love, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at
