2017 January 1 ~ Mary, the Holy Mother of God

That Mary, Mother of the Church, will guide and protect the whole Church with her motherly love.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

On this World Day of Peace, may Mary, Queen of Peace, intercede to bring lasting peace to the world.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

May all those from diverse religious traditions and all people of goodwill work together for justice and peace.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

May we, too, like Mary, become bearers of joy as we allow your love to become more and more alive in our lives.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

As did Mary, help us to reflect on your acts in the world and in our own lives.  As we come to realize their full meaning and significance, give us the courage to act according to your will.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

May we remember that your love does not come to us from afar but rather that it is the sea and we are the fish.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; Chris Hurley; Mike Finn; Alice Rosenthal; and Taylor Thole.  Also we pray for those who have died, including Ray Siderius; Father John Navone, brother of Joe Navone and Helen Gleason; Walt Parietti, father of Craig Parietti; and Sister Ethna Marie O’Doherty.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving;  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Jesus, King of Peace, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
