2017 January 8 ~ The Epiphany of the Lord

+ May the Church be like the star of Epiphany, drawing the world to worship Jesus Christ.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

+ For the President of the United States and all government leaders: that the Son of God, who became human, will help them understand the great dignity of every individual, and support legislation that better protects vulnerable populations in our midst.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

+ For all Catholics, that God inspire us to take action in our local communities to support and protect migrants and to advocate on their behalf.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

+ For an end to the strife and persecution that gives rise to refugee crises.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

+ What we have to bring to the infant Jesus this Epiphany weekend is your love manifested on earth in each of us.  Help us to extend that love to all others in our world.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

+ For all those who are sick especially Betty Bertoldi; Alice Rosenthal; and Caleb Omlin, son of Kendall and Eric Omlin.  Also, we pray for those who have died including Sister Ethna Marie O’Doherty, Walt Parietti, father of Craig Parietti, and Ray Siderius.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

+ In thankfulness for all that is written in our Parish Book of Thanksgiving.  We pray also for the intentions written in the Parish Book of Intercessions and those we hold in the silence of our hearts.  Lord of all human persons, we pray.

The Petitions offered at Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses are written by  St. Anne parishioners who meet to consider the needs of our community, our church and our world in light of the scriptures.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, you are already invited:  No experience or special knowledge is needed, just a heartfelt desire to pray with our community.  For questions, or to participate, please call Carol Ford at 206-281-5920.
