Building Community
CYO Athletics
CYO Athletics at St. Anne Parish provides
opportunities for our youth to learn valuable life lessons
through a team sport athletic environment. This ministry serves
hundreds of athletes and requires the leadership of dozens
of coaches. We offer cross country, soccer, basketball, baseball,
volleyball, and track to all registered parishioners and St.
Anne students from kindergarten through 8th grade*.
Our focus is on improvement; respecting and earning the respect
of teammates, coaches, officials, spectators, ourselves and
opponents; enjoying the results of our effort, hard work and
commitment to something bigger than ourselves. We are all
inclusive and welcome of all levels of skill and talent. Our
CYO coaches have been trained to keep kids safe from sexual
abuse (Call to Protect) and successfully coaching youth sports
(Play Like a Champion Today). Jennifer Bosserman, 954-0570
*Not all sports are offered to all grades. See handbook for
details.
Inclusion Commission
Helps the Parish Council fulfill the vision and mission
statements of the parish. Identifies which groups are more
isolated and then finds ways to bring them into participation
within our parish. Our goals concern new parishioners, people
who are alone, and people with disabilities. Meets once a
month. Everyone is invited to attend! Kae Waller, Chair (282-5468).
Church History Committee
Preserves the history of our parish. It is now in
its formative stage, but members have expressed a desire to
collect the church stories of our parishioners to help make
our history live. Rich is also in charge of maintaining our
church archives. Church Historian: Rich Schneider (283-6171).
Coffee and Donuts
Committee
Hosts a community social gathering after 10:00 a.m.
Sunday Mass; coffee, tea, juice and donuts are provided. Gerry
and Damian Flynn (283-1043).
Funeral
Hospitality
Assists families with funeral receptions. People
are needed to help set up, clean up, provide food and/or help
serve. A good way to meet others. Leader Helen Marriott (282-7028)
is sometimes available to assist with other events or celebrations
upon request.
Newcomers Welcome
Committee
Organizers receptions for new parishioners so they
can be welcomed, get acquainted, and learn more about St.
Anne’s. Meet in the Assembly Room following the Sunday
Mass. Kae Waller (282-5468)
Young Adult Group
Provides opportunities for single and married young
adults (20’s-30’s) to grow as individuals through
community service projects, social gatherings, prayer and
adult learning events. Paul Kramer (285-4553)
